We review here the work done on the occurence of chaotic configurations in systems derived from Gauge theories. These include Yang-Mills and associated field theories with modifications including Chern Simons and Higgs fields.

A gauge-theoretic approach to gravity
Einstein's general relativity (GR) is a dynamical theory of the space-time metric. We describe an approach in which GR becomes an SU(2) gauge theory. We start at the linearized level and show how a gauge-theoretic Lagrangian for non-interacting massless spin two particles (gravitons) takes a much more simple and compact form than in the standard metric description. Moreover, in contrast to the ...
متن کاملFeynman Diagrams in Non - Abelian Gauge Theories
A simple and systematic method for the calculation of group-theoretic weights associated with Feynman diagrams in non-Abelian gauge theories is presented.
متن کاملHolism and Structuralism in U(1) Gauge Theory
After decades of neglect philosophers of physics have discovered gauge theories—arguably the paradigm of modern field physics—as a genuine topic for foundational and philosophical research. Incidentally, in the last couple of years interest from the philosophy of physics in structural realism—in the eyes of its proponents the best suited realist position towards modern physics—has also raised. ...
متن کاملCorrelation functions between topological objects – field theoretic versus geometric definitions
We analyze topological objects in pure gluonic SU(2) lattice gauge theory and compute correlation functions between instantons and monopoles. Concerning the instantons we use geometric and field theoretic definitions of the topological charge. On a 12 × 4 lattice it turns out that topological quantities have a non-trivial local correlation. The auto-correlation functions of the topological char...
متن کاملGauge Theoretic Approach to Fluid Dynamics
The Hamiltonian dynamics of a compressible inviscid fluid is formulated as a gauge theory. The idea of gauge equivalence is exploited to unify the study of apparantly distinct physical problems and solutions of new models can be generated from known fluid velocity profiles.
